Cookie Notice

A sign-in cookie. Set when you sign in with your wallet, so you stay signed in as you move between pages. Without it you would be signed out on every click. It is removed when you sign out.

A room cookie. Set when you look at a coin, so the platform can count how many people are in that room and take you out of it when you leave. It holds a random identifier and nothing about you. It is signed so that nobody can forge it and evict somebody else from a room, it cannot be read by scripts on the page, and it lasts thirty days.

Both are what the law generally calls strictly necessary: they exist to make something you asked for work, not to learn about you.

A referral cookie, only if you opened a link containing ?ref=. It holds the referral code from that link (and the coin it pointed at) so that, if you sign in, the person who shared it is credited. It holds nothing about you, lasts thirty days, and is deleted when you sign in. The same code is also kept in local storage.

If you choose "Accept all", we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages they look at, roughly where they are and what device they use. It is optional: nothing is loaded and no Google cookie is set unless you agree, and choosing "Necessary only" changes nothing about what you can do here.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>, lasting up to two years) and sends that information to Google, which may process it outside your country. It is not linked to your wallet, your username or anything you post. Google describes what it does with it at policies.google.com.

You can change your mind at any time under Settings, Privacy. Turning it off stops Google Analytics immediately and deletes its cookies from this browser.

To be specific:

• no advertising cookies, and Google Analytics is not connected to Google's advertising products
• no analytics at all unless you agree to it
• no session recording and no heatmaps
• no social buttons or pixels that phone home
• nothing sold or shared with data brokers

This is a description of the code as it stands, and if it ever changes this page changes with it.

Some settings are stored in your browser's local storage rather than sent to us as cookies. They never leave your device on their own:

• your preferences - trade size, slippage, priority, notification switches, theme
• your favourite coins
• which wallet you last signed in with, so the sign-in button knows what to offer
• whether you agreed to Google Analytics, so we do not ask again on every visit
• a referral code from a link you opened, until you sign in (see the referral cookie above)

If you are signed in, the preferences that belong to your account are also saved against your wallet so they follow you to another browser. Clearing your browser data removes the local copies.

Your browser can block or delete cookies - the setting is usually under Privacy. You can also use a private window, which discards everything when you close it.

Blocking them has consequences here, and they are practical rather than punitive: without the sign-in cookie you cannot stay signed in, so you cannot trade, post or claim fees; without the room cookie the watcher count on a coin will be wrong. Everything you can do while signed out still works.
